Thanks so much, I try and stick to organic foods since most of them will label no msg. Thankfully walmart has alot of organic foods now at decent prices.

Thanks Gardenfish! After reading I checked on the labels of some of the natural foods i have in the closet sheesh!

I always said even crap is natural by definition. :)

I am not highly sensitive to msg ... I don't know if I am sensitive at all, but when the beast first hit me and I read the boards, I dumped everything with msg listed on it into the trash.

Now I have some new things to watch for in the natural foods. My guess is a little might be ok if it is a by product of a process maybe, but I am going to watch it carefully.

    Thanks!

Have you tried Tastefully Simple products. None contain msg. Some, such as the Vidalia Onion dressing are low sodium as well.

But the sodium in MSG does show up in the sodium part of the nutrition label doesn't it?

So it is the Mono or the Glutimate that causes so much trouble for folks?

yes, it is sort of a by-product when certain ingredients are processed. MSG free does not mean glutamates free by virtue of processing.
