Kiwifruit are my favourite. I have a vine of them growing along the top of the fence. The rainbow lorikeets like 'em too.

    How delightful!

    Do the lorikeets destroy them?

What they don't eat, they leave for the King parrots.

These parrots used to live in the bush around Melb, but over the last ten years, bushfires and urban sprawl have brought them in.

Along with the corellas, galahs and rosellas....

    Colourful show.

I love galahs the best. The drunken sailor walk, the cock eyed stare, the "hello? hello?"

Ha! I agree, galahs are my favourite.

Years ago I saw a pet galah who had had some sort of disease that had made all of its feathers drop off (other than a few, pathetic tufts here and there). The galah's human companions had made it a tiny cardigan to keep its little pot belly warm. One of the most tragicomic things I've ever seen.

    Poor old thing.

I went cycling along Diamond Creek this morning. Lots of galahs, corellas and a little grass parrot. Small green bird with red on it's tail.

Sorry, I was splitting hares. And they screamed when I did.

:D Don't be. I was splitting hares too. I was then drawn, for some reason beyond my very questionable comprehension, to comment on the screams of rabbits. However I wasn't sure if they made any type of sound. So I found this!

Best answer - What an expert, huh? Listen to the link she attached. Weirdness.

Correct. Its Sunday night & I'm ultra bored.

Oh, sweet Jesus, that sound! :D :D :D It hit me like a punch in the face.

What about the answers that didn't quite make the 'Best answer' grade? Correcting for typos: 'sometimes when I hold my rabbit she squeals like a gerbil'. :D :D

Yeah, Sunday night. I hear ya!
