I do have more than one sound too. It is hard to pick just one. Depends on day and sometimes time of day.

It switches between 2, 6, & 8, depending on my stress level and other factors.

I picked roaring but I would describe it alternately as a jet engine on take off (when it was bad) or a refrigerator motor when it is good. The static sounds similar to the roaring for me, either one is a close approximation of the jet engine. I do also have a high pitched scratch sound and also some far away explosions. But the roaring static is defintely the one that came with hydrops and the one that messed up my mind. THe others I can tune out.

Screeching tone is tne normal 24/7 sound I have in both ears. However, all of the above apply. I have a locomotive come right through my living room at 3 o'clock every day. And I quite often hear my tea kettle when I don't have it on.

Mine is a mixture of 4 & 6 all the time, when I get a warning it is usually #3 that shows up and overrides everything else.

like most everyone else, 1 sound doesn't cover it. Most of the time it is roaring. great poll, i think my family will appreciate more what i hear all the time now.

  15. ccabek

ccabek I am still climbing the WALLS!!!

mixture of 4 and 5, but at times I get 'chripping crickets", and deafness with a very high pitch sound that travels through from one side to the other, then the hearing comes back.
Also, loudness is different each day and hour.
Stress tends to make it different too.

  16. HeadNoise

    HeadNoise Invisible Me

1,4,5,6,7,8 based on description only since I can't hear the links. But I don't hear any tones so I eliminated 2,3 and am guessing what "Electric" sounds like.

I would have to say the 7500Hz with the ocean (from a seashell) background noise in my left ear. Awesome when I am sleeping on my right side and can't hear the alarm clock in the morning. ;D

Sound 3 is closest to the sound I get the most, but I get more than one sometimes two at the same time.

I always have a constant one in the back ground that sound similar to #3 and a pulsating one that comes and goes.

That one doesn’t sound like any thing on your list and sometimes I wonder if it is tinnitus at all but my own heart beat as the timing

of the pulsating seems to match my pulse if I put my finger on my temple or wrist.
