Wanted to bump this thread up, as I am curious if Solari is still in remission due to Vitamin C mega-doses?

Ray, are you at a "maintenance dose" at this point? Are all your MM symptoms gone?

Yup, I am taking an average of around 10g daily and absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. I am leading a normal life once again, even taking long hikes in the wilderness and the like. :)

It's great to hear you're doing so well Ray.....congratulations to you! It would be lovely if you could stop by occasionally or maybe even just 5 minutes a day to offer some advice and/or words of encouragement to the fellow Menierians of your forum especially since you're doing so magnificently. For someone who may still be suffering (and there are many here) a success story can be very uplifting and give them some much needed hope.

Take care and continued good health to you.

Ray, this is just what I needed as my Dr's have taken me off the Acyclovir due to an enlarged liver.
The bowel problems you wre having in the beginning are just what I'm going through now. But there are other health issues that would cause those symptoms too.
Once I've had my second colonoscopy and have my gallbladder removed, I expect to see a major improvement.
I will be calling my OTO on Momday to inquire about the dosage she recommends for the Vitamin C.
Maybe you just solved my problems as my MM symptoms are steadily creeping back!
I'm happy to see your update! Glad to hear you're managing so well.

    Gina,

What makes you think your physician has any knowledge of high-dose vitamin C in the treatment of Meniere's? The only place I've ever heard of it (and I spend many tens of hours reading MM literature) it on this board, as posted by Ray Solari himself. Like a number of us with successful Meniere's treatments posted on this board, Ray's not a physician.

Let us know what your physician says. But I wouldn't be surprised to learn that she tells you the vitamin C can play no role in the treatment of Meniere's symptoms.

I take vitamin C IV once per month. My doctor is a chelation specialist and she thinks that the vit C IV will help prevent viral problems that may occur. I had the laby because of all the damage and my primary care dr wants to protect the good ear. There are other benefits to taking VC thru the vein such as cancer prevention, heart health, and a chelator ( removes heavy metals ).Good Luck Larry

Can't wait to talk to my OTO. I'll let you know for sure what she says.

What makes me think she's know about the Vitamin C? I don't know but I'm sure gonna ask what she thinks as I did with the Acyclovir and the Lysine. She knew about those. She specializes in the treatment of Menieres. There have been articles about her being a specialist in this area as so few do.
