I believe someone has mentioned previously regarding the work being done in Dallas using vagus nerve stimulation as a treatment for tinnitus. UT Dallas (and three other sites) are now recruiting for a new clinical study. Please note, a diagnosis of Meniere's will disqualify a person, but this information might be of interest to some on this forum anyway. http://www.tinnitustrial.com/
why is meniere's patients not qualify for this? it should still help us with the tinnitus, wouldn't it? because tinnitus is basically a separate beast than meniere's, in terms of physical cause.
I'm assuming that since this is a clinical trial, the researchers want to eliminate as many variables as possible.
