Golly gee! Sorry about that, it was right before I was leaving work, but I knew the song and just had to play.

    Okay, here's one . . .

Sleep all day, out all night
    I know where you're going.
    I don't think that's a-acting right
    You don't think it's showing

That would be a classic - Funk 49 by the James Gang

Here comes old rosie she's looking mighty fine
Here comes hot nancy she's steppin' right on time
There go the street lights bringin on the night
Here come the men faces hidden from the light
All through the shadows they come and they go

Fire Down Below by Bob Segar

May the good Lord be with you
    Down every road you roam.
    And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home.

Hello, is anybody there or did I stump ya? :)

    Here are the next lines:

And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true
And do unto others as you'd have done to you
    Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay

    I knew it was Rod Stewart - just couldn't thing of the song until the last stanza {for ever young}

Nine o'clock mornings, five o'clock evenings
I'd liven the pace if I could
Oh I'd rather have a ham in my sandwich than cheese
But complaining wouldn't do any good

    I'm a fleabit peanut monkey
    All my friends are junkies
    That's not really true
    I'm a cold Italian pizza
I could use a lemon squeezer
    What you do?

Winter is here again oh Lord,
Have'nt been home in a year or more
I hope she holds on a little longer
Sent a letter on a long summer day
made of silver, not of clay
Ive been runnin down this dusty road

Yeah, fill me like the mountains
    yeah, yeah, yeah
You fill me like the sea, Lord.
Not coming past, but still at last
Your love brings life to me.

**Extra credit points if you can name the less-well-known recorder of this song (from the 70's)**

Seadog--never heard of Full Force Boobies Band--I was thinking of Orleans--but I imagine lots of folks recorded this excellent song. You gonna give us a new song--or anyone else can jump in here , too.

Sorry I spaced - How about full force boogie band

You can feel it in the distance the deeper down you stare.
From up above it's hard to see but you know when you're there.
On the bottom words are shallow.
On the surface talk is cheap.

Joe Walsh - Eyes of the Confessor

Most of the cast that you meet on the streets speak of true love,
Most of the time they're sittin' and cryin' at home.
One of these days they know they better get goin'
Out of the door and down on the streets all alone.

My Sweet Lord by George Harrison

I'd like to spend a day or two.
    I can't stay that long.
No, I've got to meet expenses.
I got to stay in line.
    Gotta get those fees
    To the agencies.
    And I'd love to stay,
    But there's bills to pay,
So I just don't have the time.

Rose, your song is Billy Joel's The Entertainer. The song I put up before was not George Harrison. It was from a very famous American band - think San Francisco.

    New Song:

Hold me close, never let me go
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow

I'll love you 'til the bluebells forget to bloom
I'll love you 'til the clover has lost its perfume
I'll love you 'til the poets run out of rhyme
