    Anyone ever had this happen?

When the dizziness begins... it's not full blow vertigo, but heavy dizziness... I feel a little pain in the bad ear. It's like the sudden rush of fluid or whatever is happening is causing some pain. How could that be?

When something like "pain" has hit my ears it is usually accompanying pressure or (aural fullness). Those seem to be an indication of a vertigo episode in my case. If I feel heavy ear pressure I limit what I am doing because the possibility of vertigo is high. I do remember the worst ear pain I have ever felt was from a middle ear infection that ultimately ruptured my ear drum. It was the weekend and I didn't want to go to the ER for an ear-ache. The up side was once the ear drum ruptured I felt way better as in the pain went away.
