I started a trivia thread (lots of geography ?s but other ?s too) 2 crashes ago and thought I would start one now. In the previous thread, I asked the questions, but how 'bout we all pitch in. I'll ask the first, and then whoever gets the answer asks the next question.

Important!! This is based on what you have in your memory banks (in your head already)--no fair googling something--then it would just be a contest of who was the fastest googler

category: celebrity family links (your category can be anything)

Jason Patric has not only a famous and now deceased father, but his mother's father was even more renown in showbiz. Who were his dad and maternal grandfather??

First hint--he is a handsome devil, about 40, who was in The Lost Boys, Speed 2, Geronimo:An American Legend, and the most recent version of The Alamo
Another hint: his famous grandfather was a rotund actor who played both comedic and dramatic roles--this same grandfather who became an American TV and screen legend grew up poverty in New York
