I live in San Diego, CA. but I'm originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I had to get out of there because of the humidity and heat. I've been in San Diego for about the last 20 years and believe it or not this summer has been one of the hottest and most humid summers I can remember. Kind of like Louisiana but on a lesser scale. The only thing I miss about Louisiana is the food. You cannot find a decent cajun restaurant in San Diego. Thank God one of my hobbies is cooking so I cook Gumbo and Jambalaya and all that good southern food as often as I can.

Another Brit here, from Lancashire originally (northern England) but now living in Eastbourne, which is about as far south as you can get without getting your feet wet. Eastbourne is famous for two things - the best weather in the UK (so what happened to summer this year??) and the country's most elderly population. In fact, it's said to be the only place in Britain where you can see the continent and incontinent at the same time!

Springfield, Illinois - where a miserable low pressure system has just charged thru and given me my first migraine. :'( :'(

Ah well. I still love this time of year. Trees will be turning soon.

    poppaharley Meniere's: God's answer to a free merry-go-round

Man, this thread has been around for a long time.

Home is in north central Maryland, about 20 miles north of Baltimore. Some beautiful riding country, whether motorcycles or horses. Some great weather in the spring and fall, some miserable humid weather in summer, some miserable slushy crappy weather in winter..... but it's home.
