I thought this latest flare was finally coming to an end. I've been doing the B5/B6 for a month now. I have felt better overall the last several weeks than I had been feeling. The bad days weren't as bad or as long-lasting, and I was having more days where I was feeling better though far from normal. The last several days I actually felt pretty good--most of the hearing in my left ear came back, the tinnitus was greatly diminished and I had only transient pressure. Until yesterday. The tinnitus increased yesterday afternoon and by last night the pressure was back and I couldn't hear out of that ear. Today, the pressure is somewhat better, the hearing seems to have come back slightly but the tinnitus is about 50 on a scale of 1 to 10. This is so disheartening. All I want is to feel normal and have my life back. I can't function like this and I'm so tired of being stuck in the house not feeling well enough to go out and do anything.

Sorry to hear it, California. I can’t recall all your story... do you have a good Menieres specialist?

Meniere's specialist? What a joke! I gave up on doctors long ago. They can't do anything for me. Last year my Kaiser PCP sent me to an ENT. After that terrible demoralizing and dehumanizing experience, I will not go back.

Would have to agree, the ENTs, inner ear specialists, etc have done nothing to help me so I stopped going. Took matters in my own hands.

That's why I started coming to this site. I figure I have a better chance of getting help here than from any doctor. I'm convinced that those of us who have this nasty disease know more about it than the doctors do.

How long have you had Meniere's? I've had it in the right ear for 48 years; in the left for 26 years. The left ear is the very problematic one.

I understand the feeling, although I don’t expect much from a doctor when so little is understood about Ménière’s. But it sounds like you were put through hell.

Exactly. It wasn't like I was expecting a miraculous cure, but I did expect to be treated with the respect, sensitivity and compassion due any human being who visits a health care provider. Unfortunately, there are those in the health care field who shouldn't be there. I regret that I didn't make a complaint to Kaiser about this doctor.
