For the first time this month it’s not going to rain here and the temperature is going to look good(61F) Has spring finally arrived? Can I put my winter coat away?
Temp today is forecast for 69°F but, we are also supposed to have more rain after two nice days. It’s rained for about 20 days and the forecast says ten more. It sure would have been nice to have spread all that rain out so that we could have some in late summer, but it just doesn’t work that way.
Yay, Marta! It's 93 here today and that is supposed to continue all next week and through the weekend without a drop of rain in sight. The humidity is awful. I made a mistake and went to buy groceries today. I thought I might croak before I was done hauling them into the house. The older I get, the less tolerant I am of the heat.
93! Wow, that is hot even for myself. Once you’ve done groceries, hopefully, you will not have to leave the house.
It has cooled down some this evening, but we hit 99 today. We haven't had rain in three weeks and are in a severe drought area.
Very hot indeed Cheryl. I hope you get rain soon. The temperature here is around 62 and it has been raining a lot. Back to long sleeves again. Why there cannot be some balance?
Why not? How is there no balance. "Why" presupposes purpose, or intent. Granting context, "why" assumes weather forms in a conscious attempt to either please or displease, to intentionally maintain balance or unbalance. Potentially fastidious of me to mention, I know. I mean not to be, I say as much because life becomes easier to navigate when you autocorrect "why’s", when they are in fact "how’s". That said, it's been windy & rainy here, too. All week I've felt the need to find a steep, wet, grassy hill, so to slide down it, on my bum, like I use to do in ’82. … when I was a chubby chubby toddler. The second noun in the above sentence may remain accurate to this day, at least on some level. In my defence, what is sliding down a hill on one's bum, if not the honest enactment of the adult activity known as skiing?
93 with a heat index of 106. This is supposed to keep up for several more days and not a drop of rain in sight.
I would trade you right now, Marta. It has been a brutally hot summer here in Iowa with very little rain. Real temp right now is 98. I have no idea what the heat index is, but I'm sure it's way up there.
Hazy Hot Humid in the 90s in New Hampshire and I come up here for the summer to escape the 3 H’s in Florida
