JonBubo, thanks so much for completing the real picture with regards to this story. It's a long road, but hopefully someday these trials and successes can help.

Tinnitus Talk has a Research News page that has all the ongoing trials - worth a look sometime

    Huh.

Old thread, but I'm gonna have to comment here

Recently, before my vertigo issues got worse, I had started on a course of fixing my orthopaedic injuries with Regenexx

That is, the largest and best chain of places that do stem cells and PRP shots.

From what I can tell, it all DOES absolutely work. The only reason the "data is inconclusive" is most other researchers don't realize that there's a ton of medicines you have to be not taking for these things to work. Statins, NSAIDs, blood thinners, blood pressure medicines, etc. all interfere with the process

There's multiple biologics they can produce from your body. PRP, BMAC (stem cells), PPP (platelet POOR plasma), and PLATELET LYSATE. They use some mix of these when treating injuries.

PLATELET LYSATE is used around nerves. It's the one that's mild enough to use around nerves. If you have a bulging disc, they hydrodissect the nerve with an injection of platelet lysate, and this actually induces the body to eat away at the bulging part of the disc.

    IDEA HERE tl;dr
    ************************************
So I was thinking, maybe they could inject into the inner ear platelet lysate, perhaps with hyaluronic acid or thickeners. This may actually work to perform some regeneration
