Another great link has been discussed on this forum in greater depth elsewhere. It is not directly about TMJD, however it is about muscle dysfunction, which TMJD can certainly cause.
The answer is yes. I got a plastic bite guard (custom made) 5 years ago and my Menieres of 10 years has been gone ever since.
So good to hear! A few questions: To quickly confirm -- you had a true Meniere's diagnosis? Full-on rotational vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus? What were your main symptoms? Given it was a bite guard, I assume your primary TMJD issue was clenching? Do you know how teeth clenching led to a build-up of endolymph in the inner ear? Did you look into splints/orthotics at all on how to reposition the jaw if a misalignment was the issue? Was your jaw not misaligned in your case? Does the bite guard just prevent clenching, or does it do something else (such as reposition your bite?) How often do you have to wear the bite guard?
