A quick question, is it still considered Meniere's if you have tinnitus, brain fog and dizziness without the vertigo, hearing loss and ear fullness. SERC took care of the pressure but I am still feeling like crap. I went to my GP doctor and he gave me a nasal steroid with antihistamine and an ENT referral. At this point, I feel so bad that digging out my bad ear with a grapefruit spoon is starting to look good.
Hi, I didn‘t know back then, tht it was MD but in the beginning I had only fullness od ear, distortet hearing and tinnitus. I didn‘t have vertigo. So you don‘t always have all the symptoms.
Hi Jonn, Here in Germany it would not be called Morbus Menière. Your symptoms come along with many conditions, f.e. Burnout or mere exhaustion or even something with your neck. Post- or Long Covid. As far as I know you should not combine Serc with antihistamines. Read the leaflet; in Germany it's on the list " don't take with'. Serc is a histamine analogum, which means 'kind of" histamine. Are you doing some exercises to train your balance an brain? This was very helpful for me. Hope you feel better soon! Lilja
In Canada, having those symptoms, you likely won’t be diagnosed with Menieres. That’s me speaking from experience, knowing the knowledge that ENTs have with the disease. My example, is that I had every symptom but rotational vertigo and a demonstrated audiogram with low frequency hearing loss. I have flat hearing loss, but I also knew that it started with low frequencies, I just didn’t have the data to prove it. It took me consulting with a US doctor that has experience, who listened to my entire case history to have a Menieres diagnosis. Not that it’s the diagnosis I want, but knowing is part of the battle. By the way, my GP gave me a nasal steroid as well.
