Here i am in a hotel, with a very early flight tomorrow. I left a wakeup call and if i can figure it out, i will set the clock. But if i am sleeping on my deaf ear, i am not going to hear anything. I shoulda thought of this before ;D. For next time, any brand name recommendations of clocks you have used ?
Hi June. I don't have one myself but I know a couple of people who are really happy with their Sonic Alert vibrating travel alarm clocks. I've also heard that Shake Awake makes a good travel alarm clock too.
Yes, I've heard those work well. My cell phone is so obnoxiously loud it could wake the dead or deaf. ;D
You're very welcome June! Good luck....I hope you find one you like before your next trip out of town.
I've slept through my alarm in the morning for work if I'm sleeping on my good side. Thank goodness my wife hears it and nudges me! I've always wondered of there was some alternative for when I'm traveling and alone.
My wife told me to put my cell phone on high vibrate and stick it in my boxers and when it goes off i will wake up. You think i am kidding but it does work!
I am scared to turn on the sound as the reviews say it is VERY LOUD. I dont know which ear will be up when it goes off and i dont want to have to peel husband and dog off the ceiling. ;D
be careful I just read a news report a 13 year old girl put her cell phone under her pillow when she went to sleep and it started on fire. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/28/girl-smartphone-fire-pill_n_5626373.html
Thanks, that would be awful to wake up to a fire in my pants. I could not imagine much worse. I just love the feel of the vibration, it wakes me up.
if you noticed at the end of the article one 8th grader received moderate burns while her cell phone was in her pocket (while awake) and caught on fire. Gives a whole new meaning to Hot Pants
