So, as you know I have been doing allergy shots for 5 months now twice a week, soon to be on once a week. I have had actually fairly steady improvement but slooooooow and hadnt reach a very good "baseline"(my baseline gets worse as years go by it seems but slowly worse) hearing level and the pulsatile still sucked up until last couple days. To complicate matters I have also been doing religiously Pycnogenol 400mg per day for about 3 weeks (somewhat expensive for the real stuff). 4 days ago I started back with the sinupulse only this time I started closing the opposite nostril so to build water pressure to shoot the water deeper into my sinuses and release that opposite nostril when I could feel the pressure at my nose, twice a day and about 12 ounces each treatment ,close and release 3 or 4 times . Couple times I could hear water enter the eustachian opening since too much pressure and I'd release immediately with no problem. Of course I use only distilled water and sinupulse original packets (theirs is the best and expensive). I am careful not to bear down causing increased intrathecal pressure, just let the sinupulse do the work and release when feel the nose kind of pucker. Now yesterday and today my hearing has been at maximum for most of the day (not all day). The pulsatile diminished some today and I am excited for more improvement with the pulsatile tinn., this tinnitus is a reminder to me constantly that I am sick. I have had many periods over the years where it went away but now alas, it has not gone away in over a year and I won't bet on ever losing it. But, I keep up the fight always. Mind you I am somewhat expert at nasal irrigation for 3 years but have never tried this closed nostril pressure method, if you try just dont over do the pressure or you can well cause damage to the ear or dizziness as I did the first day since I "beared down" as well, you dont want a lot of pressure I assure you, just enough to get far into the sinuses. Then I blow my nose gently a few times and bend over for a full minute and do the whale blow gently to remove all the water at once. I sometimes have short lived successes and this too may fade but I was to excited to keep it a secret from all of you. I wish for many blessings for all of you.

Good luck! Keep us posted. Yes, allergy shots take months and years to get the full benefit but the time will pass anyway.

Have you ever tried a steam room or just putting a towel over your head and leaning over some hot water and breathing in the steam through your nose?

Yes, I have tried that many times with little success. That doesn't seem to wash out the allergens possibly.
