I just burned the hell out of the chicken on the grill and now my sister in law is upset because he made a nice pasta salad and squash casserole which she was proud of, the kids are crying and yelling at me because they think it's the end of the world and they will go to bed hungry and mommy thinks she is coming home to a special dinner as told to her by her sister. Little does anybody know Domino's is on their way and I didn't even get their favorite toppings. I just came outside for some fresh air before I snap. It's going to be a long night and I am out of Scotch Pray for me please.
Oh, poor big daddy. You'll get through this, you always do. Tell SIL to chill. Tell kids be happy you got pizza or they would only have the salad and pasta! Tell wife, honey I tried. LOL!
Well as you can see from this post it's 5:00 am and I am just now feeling comfortable enough to go back in my house. A man can only take so much punishment. They were kicking me when I was down. Awful feeling. Everybody is still alive, SIL eventually calmed down around 9:00, kids still hate daddy for burning chicken on the grill (like they would eat it anyway). and mommy gave me a hug and told me to try to do better next time. One thing is for certain, I really do appreciate the prayers, well wishes and hugs. This would have been even worse without your love and support to hang in there and face the fire. The 6 and 3 year ok really brought the wrath. God bless!
I'm good at a lot of thing, BBQ is not one of them. Bulldog, you should have gone to Pollo Tropical!!!.....CHICKEN ON THE GRILL!!
It was to be a nice dinner for wife, right. Well, she was really, really nice about it. Now you need to get those kids in hand!!
Mommy and SIL told me last night I need to go to a parenting class, because I can't say no and my discipline is non-existent. They had the nerve to say "are you watching the kids or are the kids watching you" What can I say, I love kids and like to have a good time. When I told them the kids and I were going to the Lego store after school today and they were on their own for dinner tonight, they almost fainted! Mommy did give me a big hug and kiss last nigh so that was nice, but when I said her sister should do the same she said "you gotta be out of your F$&king mind" Life could not be better.
Was the trip to the Lego store to reward them for behaving so well last night?? Something to think about Buddy.
Going to try again tonight. I have really high hopes for this dinner. SIL is a little upset because I ate her pasta salad and most of her squash casserole for lunch yesterday with a PBJ sandwich, but I did compliment her on how good it was. Kids got nothing at Lego Store, except a lesson on what is possible if they listen to daddy and keep room clean. They kicked and screamed the whole way out of mall telling me I was the meanest daddy in the whole world, resulting in a few stares. All is good for time being but with a 3,6 and 8 year old this volcano can explode anytime without warning.
Well, well, well. Nobody said it would be easy. Good job at the Lego store! Stay firm. Good luck with the grilling. Do not erupt unless it's at the proper time! LOL!
Well, well, well...hubby had a BAD day in negotions and I caught the brunt of his stress last night. Doesn't happen often often but...I went into the spare room and ended up falling asleep in there. It's easier to walk way then let someone's anger fuel your own. I could have used someone's else's sofa last night! LOL Things are back to normal today after apologies. As usual.
