Redbird--Sorry to hear your ear went full again.

My left ear is still clear and tinnitus still very loud. Now, I am worried about my right ear. Their is slight tinnitus in it. And, because I sing every day and play guitar along with bass drum and hi-hat I put an ear plug in my left ear. But, since my left ear went clear on Monday I have noticed my right ear is not hearing as well. Weird.

I do drink a cup of coffee in the morning and Wednesday nights I have band practice ( I put a plug in both ears ) and I drink a cup of coffee.

Thank you Vicki and June. You are both Saints.

    Good Health to Everyone

I think Vicki posted some good info on Three-dimensional cone beam computed tomography imaging of the membranous labyrinth in patients with Meniere's disease.

Now, if we can just figure out how to use it to our advantage.

My ear started to clear again last night. I went to bed feeling optimistic... woke up this morning and my ear is extremely full again. Very uncomfortable. So now I am just waiting on the clearing to happen again, hopefully soon. I still say its a good sign... trying to convince myself of that at least.

Hey Redbird----full-clear-full-clear----what a roller coaster ride.

I am wondering if you take Vit C and Vit E. Those are two supplements I added to the long list of acyclovir and JOH's regime. I know Vitamins C and E are on his list but, I was not taking them. Then last weekend, on Saturday I added them. Two days later my ear was clear. It's still clear and tinnitus not as bad today.

For me the big sign was when the distortion began to cut in and out. It took weeks, months .... For it to be really consistent. But it got there and stayed good for years.

I just had this talk today with my PCP. He recommended citrus bios for a healthy liver. I told him about the lemon bios I've been taking for 4 years for my ear and he said there's alot of truth in them helping with fluid build up.

rottiesrule, I remember reading before about your success with lemon bios. I started taking them last September (while I was pregnant) and I had almost instant relief. I continued to feel much better for 6 months but then started having bad fullness again in March. I gave birth to my son in April, felt better for two weeks and then the fullness came back and has never left (except for a few clear moments in the past few days). I was SO happy that I found something that helped me but for whatever reason they don't seem to help anymore. I have been taking them continuously for a year now.

Santa, I am thinking about it but I need to talk with my doctor first. I am still nursing my son and was told that both Acyclovir and Lipoflavonoids are safe but I will have to ask about the others. I am also trying to limit how much I take. Breastfeeding is a debate I have with myself every day. :( I want to keep doing it for my son's benefit but I am also feeling bad and have to be careful what I take

I understand and agree breastfeeding is very important.

    Wishing you the best.

I know you good mothers will put yourselves through hell and back for your babies.

My ear is still clear. Yesterday was a vertigo day. Today - so far so good. I'm going to town to run some errands. Taking a friend with my just in case old vertigo raises its ugly head again.

A little update because its been a couple weeks. Overall, I feel relatively better since adding the Lipoflavonoids to the antivirals. I haven't had nearly as much extreme fullness/ roaring. Mainly just high pitched ringing and some pressure. It really varies greatly each day, constantly changing but like I said usually not as bad as it was for a long time. My hearing is fluctuating. I was going to update earlier today and say how much better I felt but of course the pressure set in and I am feeling some fullness now. But there is a storm about 100 miles out of my area on its way, I am thinking that may have something to do with it. I would think the barometric pressure would already be rising/dropping at this point? I don't know which happens for a storm. Anyway, a little bit of improvement for me.

RAin coming means low pressure system. When it clears away the high pressure system has blown it away.

Wev'e been having low pressure system since Sunday. That's the day I went full after almost two weeks of clear. When ear is full and I crunch on a Doritos it sounds like hammers on anvils in my left ear.

Another low pressure system coming Thurs and Friday but then it will be clear for at least a week. It will be interesting to see if My Ear goes clear with the weather.

    Good Health to You!

Hey thanks for that finger rubbing tip. It has been hard to access how my hearing is going with iphone headphones..checking the good ear then noticing not much difference with the affected ear. But the finger rubbing test shows a huge discrepancy. Seems like a better gauge!
