Laney, keep in mind that you may have to go back numerous times and work with your audiologist to "tweek" the settings to maximize how your aid works for you. My experience is that it seems to be more about the audiologist (their skill and willingness to work/change settings) than even the hearing aid itself. My current audiologist is great and when I would say things like "it seems to be like the car radio with no bass" she knew what to change; or it is very "tinny"; or certain sounds actually "hurt"...clearly my way of verbalizing was not clear or too informative but it was enough for her to understand and make changes. So don't be afraid to go back and work until it is perfect. And congrats that your insurance covers it! Mine does not.
