I haven't seen Cora in many many years, not since I moved from Mission Viejo to the S.F.bay area.Cora lives in Novato,Ca.Cora called me and asked me if I would like to go to lunch with her in San Francisco on Oct.31st.I just hate going to The City but since I hardly ever go to The City anymore, going this one time won't kill me.Cora is now 74.She's never been married. She's 3 years older than me.During her working years Cora was a systems engineer for IBM.Cora is incredibly smart.
I agree with BD. Go with an open mind and see what a great day you will have. My only question .....do you wear a costume the 31st is halloween
No I will not be wearing a costume.Just regular street clothes,no jeans of course.I just hope I don't look too attractive. You know these women. They only have one thing on their mind.Should I spell it out for you?
Oh I went alright, trouble is I have a 10 minute rule, sometimes I'll break it and wait 15 minutes but no more. Our date was for 1 p.m.I waited til 1:15 p.m.and when Cora still didn't show up I left.Later on that afternoon I called Cora and she said she got to the restaurant at 1:17 p.m.,two minutes after I had left. She said traffic was horrendous and prevented her to get there on time. She said had I had a cell phone she could've contacted me and told me she would be late, but my friend Ingrid who works at Stanford University has an iphone and she hardly ever uses it.She emails everyone at work and she and I email each other.Cora wants me to get a T-Mobile cell phone but I'm hesitant to do so.Even my own daughter I either email or call her at home or at work.I can't see getting a cell phone to use with just one person. So if Cora wants to see me she'll have to email me again, but I'm not too enthusiastic about seeing her.
I have a 20 minute rule and I leave, too. I would give Cara a 2nd chance and if you've gone this long w/o a cell phone, don't get one now.
17 minutes? That's nothing, I've been waiting my entire life for the right woman to walk through that door. I don't have a time limit, I'll just start drinking Corona's and flirting with the bartender.
I believe in love, my parents are celebrating 30 years of marriage this year and they are still in love. They met in middle school and got married right after college.
