With Christmas just 27 days away I thought I would get a jump on the holiday shopping season by shopping today.
Bad idea because today is known as black Friday. So I drove over to Hillsdale Mall at 8:30 a.m.Another bad idea because I didn't realize the stores opened up much earlier than usual.Even though I have a blue handicap plaque, parking was still bad news.
Most stores were offering 50 % off but I was unable to find something unique and may have to shop local boutique businesses in and around my area.

Outside of the Bass Pro Shop and Barnes and Noble I have not been in a mall in over a year. I will go to a jeweler and get mommy something for Xmas and a watch for myself but everything else is done online for me nowadays.

I love shopping online, easiest way to get the best price and quality of an item and shop at my leisure w/o crowds and noise. And you can find coupons for just about anything online. But I do enjoy shopping in shopping strip malls as well, but always disliked big malls.

A few things about shopping online is one cannot feel the material of the clothing one wants to buy and two one has no way of seeing online how clothes will look and fit on you online. This can only be done in the store.

True but I never try on clothes in a store, I used to years ago and ended up feeling like a mess, hair all staticy etc. Online you get detailed sizing charts for each brand and can measure yourself at home according to each designers/manufacturers chart. Also the reviews for items help a lot as far as quality and fit. Its rare I end up buying something that doesn't fit.

In stores you have no idea of hip, chest measurement of each item all you get is the size of the item. You have to try on each item to see what's what.

Returns are so simple, no waiting on costumer service lines and many online stores have free returns, and send an RMA label.

I did almost all my Christmas shopping online this year and last. I buy all my clothes online and shoes everything because of the detailed measurements. You can also get free shipping and coupons at most places.

woot good job! I usually go out shopping and running errands on Saturday but I'm still getting over this dang virus I've had for almost 2 months, I feel a lot better but not good enough to go in and out of stores and do a lot of walking. So stayed home and stayed in my pjs, nice and cozy :)

We mostly shop online and early. We get free shipping. Did most of it early because we knew the new game system for grand would be hard to get closer to Christmas.

The only shopping I did yesterday was to the lighting store. I I got what I wanted and got 30% off.
    Good deal!

Not looking forward to the shopping but at the same time so excited to do it!
