A friend got wind somehow about a doc in the Denver area that came up with an easier version of the Epley Maneuver. I have no idea of how effective it is since vertigo is not my issue. Here is a link to a YouTube on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8ucpWIIC3g
she's the one, Carol Foster who is doing that study that got so much press a year ago, saying they found a way to disable MM but not a word since, in fact I emailed them a week ago to get an update and so far no answer. I guess they found out they were wrong or maybe stopped the study, their premise was MM was vascular.
Wasn't the meneuver for positional vertigo and not MM? I think she had a lot of success from what I saw.
the maneuver was but her study was for MM http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/12/131206163057.htm we had a long thread about this on old forums.. still not a word back from them, I guess is defunct.
I saw her a couple months ago, as a second opinion for what's going on with me and MM vs. MAV (which she and my other doc refer to as vestibular migraine, but same difference). I don't know the status of her study, but yes she is operating on the theory that most, if not all, cases of MM have a vascular cause.
interesting, I would love to know any updates on their theory/study. What annoyed me was back when we all first were discussing it someone emailed her about the study and she totally dismissed a viral cause for MM, which why would so many of us get such symptom relief with antivirals for MM symptoms especially vertigo if a virus has nothing to do with MM. that's why I would love to know any updates on their study.
