I have suffered with this disease for a year and tried everything. I had the fullness, ear ringing, vertigo, and just felt like crap, with nausea, and anxiety every day. I was going through the list of things that are suppose to help, acupuncture, chiropractor, diet etc. Some helped alittle but nothing major. Next on the list was yoga. I didn't think it would help but thought it was worth a try. I started the 30 day yoga challenge with Erin Motz. Day 1 the anxiety was better. Every day after that i noticed I felt just alittle better. I got so I only had it in the mornings by day 15. By day 30 my mornings were much better. I am now on day 36 and hardly notice my minears at all. I noticed that the relaxation of the muscles in the face and behind the eyes and relaxation of the neck and shoulders seems to give me the most relief while doing yoga. Anyway, the 30 day yoga challenge is free on you tube, it takes 10 to 15 minutes and is very beginner yoga. Don't know if it will work for everyone but it is a miracle to me. Gave me my life back. I thought I had to share this in hopes it would help more of you. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
That's fantastic. I know that TMJ can cause a lot of those symptoms and it can be aggravated by emotional tension and tight shoulders. Maybe that was the case for you. Whatever it was, enjoy, and what a very nice cure with no side effects other than good ones.
I would like to petition to have the name Meniere's officially changed to "Minears" as in "mine-ears!" 8)
This is great news, but be careful, I had a three year remission, only to suffer even more horrible attacks later.
Coincidentally, I have been feeling 90% cured as well for 3 and 1/2 months now and counting (only tinnitus, fluctuating and often pulsatile, but hearing well and no dizzy, this is a miracle for me) 1) yoga 7 days a week for the past 4 months on my own (no class), I too, noticed a difference right away 2) allergy shots for 6-7 months 2 times per week 3) pressure nasal wash(I pinch 1 nostril to force the water into eustachian) (sinugator) I believe this to be my savior 4) valcyclovir only 500mg per day for about 5 months Your pal, Barney Hoover
I like the name change. My friends say, when I am not sure about making plans to go do things, that we are 'playing it by ear' wink wink Thanks for the yoga link. When my migraines showed up in 2012, I started going to gentle yoga classes and it helped. The teacher was very calming and talented. I will look up the online one as these classes are very expensive here. Glad to hear when other are getting better with ways that are not toxic!
I checked out the website that 'i think i am cured' suggested we access and that had 'cured' her. There is no way that I could take some of the positions. Actually, I can't imagine that anyone with true Menieres could do them without going into an attack, not necessarily the full blown vertigo, etc., but an attack nevertheless.
I agree marion looked a lot scarier than the epley and why would someone even come up with a new way for bppv when theres a good one out there
