Hi Everyone! I have been working about 10-12 hours per day. Some as my regular singing jobs and lots of Santa gigs. Sometimes I get over-heated in my Santa suit and feel like uh-oh here it comes. The verti/dizzies. So, I do take the occasional valium and relax and it's working. I highly recommend Valtrex ( valacyclovir ) The improvement I have had since taking this med is phenomenal. Sure, I still have tinnitus and my hearing isn't as good as my other ear, but I do not have the aural fullness which was driving me nuts. We even had a low pressure system pass through the last couple of days and my ear stayed clear. Good Health to All!!
I guess I need to stop spreading the good news. My ear went full tonight, but not totally full. I can still hear the rubbing of my fingers next to my ear. However; very faintly. I did forget to take a mid-day valtrex with me today. No verti/dizzies. I am totally expecting to wake up with a much clearer ear in the morning. Philosopher------I don't think it is the valium that is causing the aural fullness to clear. I don't take it every day or even every other day. I only take it when I am working in hopes that it keeps me from going full verti/dizzie. I am taking 1 gr of valtrex 3 times per day. Unless, like today, I forget to take one with me.
Santa, stay positive. (I know you are.) it is a zigzag path. I believe you have yet to see your best level of improvement.
Thanks June and everyone! My ear didn't clear as much as I thought it would. But , Hey. no verti/dizzies. And When I can least afford them. I need to be healthy this time of year. It, my left ear, did clear a little ................ so tomorrow should be a Real Good Day............... A day with just tinnitus. Oh.... yeah...... a day with just tinnitus. I'm ok with those days with...... just tinnitus. Sure, I would like to be free of the high pitch screaming, but it's the least of the symptoms I am concerned with.
