So I'm currently on week 3 of my antiviral treatment and I've woken up to severe hearing loss in my Hydrops ear. :(

Would you accept this as part of the fluctuating misery that is Hydrops or call the Dr. or do I wait for my 6 month ENT specialist appointment (Monday 22nd)?

    Steve

I would call the doctor. Sudden severe hearing loss is a medical emergency.

Apparently my eardrum is 'dull' which indicates some fluid buildup ::) when asked if this could result in severe hearing loss the GP said yes, I'm not convinced.

I'm off to see a consultant in a few hours so should get a more reliable answer then.
