Right now I just took out the eggs to make French Toast for the kids for breakfast as mommy packs lunches and dresses the kids.
It's not good. Just got done messaging breeder. They came with it, there was no other way for them to contract it. There's no cure, only relief of symptoms and hope that they don't have flare-ups often. Right now...I'm really friggin pissed off.
I'm adding up just the three Vet visits with meds, so far. While we got our babies at a great price, that has doubled with these fees and we're looking at more vet visits as its a condition there is no cure for. Considering the breeder has 3 female and 1 male that she breeds, and the fact that she had 11 kittens when we put our deposit down, either she thought her cats just had colds all the time or she knew what it was and didn't disclose it. One thing I'm finding very interesting is that she offered to send me, free of charge, antibiotic drops as opposed to the gel, which is what we've had them on for the last week that didn't help. We got them from the vet. So I'm thinking, why would she even have these drops if she never had a problem??? People are just cruel to do this kind of thing. I'm facing a potential lifetime of sickness. I can only hope that the spaying/nuetering stressed them out and brought back symptoms. Funny that, the Feline Herpes Virus can be dormant and be re activated by stress. Sounds familiar?? Don't know if I want to scream or cry at this point.
very sad, hang in there! right now i am working and taking a break to read some of the threads on .org
I just put a meatloaf in the oven and am sitting here watching a flock of 12 or 13 Wild Turkeys picking up the little red fruits that fall off of the Flowering dogwood trees just outside the window and am seeing some of them do something I have never seen before - those great big birds are flying up into these little bitty trees and are trying to balance on those real thin branches and pick off the berries. It's hilarious watching them flounder around up there trying to keep their balance. It's good for a laugh and has made my day so far.
