It is brutal cold here in Ohio and my tinnitus is going wild...I am having a lot of anxiety with this. Can tinnitus and bring dizzy cause you to have anxiety?

Absolutely I get anxious from tinnitus and dizziness. It's an awful feeling, and I send lots of good wishes.

Chamomile tea is calming. I find that can help take the edge off of the anxiety.

Sea bands wrist bands help take the edge off of dizziness for me.

For my first couple years of this, a classical homeopathy remedy was the only thing that could shift the tinnitus, it was great to have something I could do. Now the anti-virals have helped a lot.

I hope you feel better soon.

I read a book, forgot the title but this doctor feels anyone who has anxiety issues suffers from vestibular problems.

Thank you for replies. It makes me better that I am not the only one who has anxiety because of this. The only time is feel calm is when my previous Labrador who,is ten and having her own health problems,is laying down by my side on the couch.....dogs are so special.

yes dogs are amazing. I too feel a sense of calm and peace wash over me when I am snuggled up with my boys. I have 2 beagles who are 15 years old. They are a great source of comfort and love.

It's funny you mention dogs. This all started for me after my last dog died. Even though the last couple months of her end of life issues was stressful, I think having the calming effect of her presence balanced it out. But afterwards the first time I got sick, my ear got stuffed and didn't unstuff for months. I had vertigo a few weeks into that. I believe that is when the Meniere's started, and I wonder if the calming effect of having dogs in the years before had helped me keep the virus at bay. My husband wanted a break from dogs, but I hope to have another, and maybe this is a good reminder of how important that is.

anything that helps reduce stress helps keep our symptoms from getting worse. Stress is a huge trigger for me and many people who have MM.

stress weakens the immune system and anything that weakens the immune system it gives the virus a chance to come out of its latent state.
