I was just diagnosed with Meniere's. I have had the symptoms off and on for two years. My Dr. kept telling me it was allergies and giving me steroids and antibiotic. I finally went to a specialist. I have the dizziness, pressure, ringing and hearing loss. My question is I also have a numb feeling in my ear and under my eye on the side with the lost hearing. Dr. Kind of blew that off. Does anyone else experience this?
No experience with numbness, but I wanted to say welcome! You have found a great place for support and information. Keep reading and asking questions. I hope you find help soon--here and/or elsewhere.
Believe that migraines can cause numbness - and since MAV is very similar to MM wondering if that is something to consider.
Don't freak out...have they said anything about Bells Palsy? That just popped in my head when I read about numbness.
I just remembered that I have had a feeling that I could describe as numbness on that side, on the cheek. I came to the conclusion that it was related to TMJ/jaw tightness--which is one thing I've dealt with that aggravates the MM symptoms.
I have numbness on one side. I assume it is pressure on a nerve from the fluid or nerve damage. It's worse when I'm congested.
On bad days my trigeminal nerve acts up and I have numbness all through the right side of my face into the endings of that nerve.
I would definetly get evaluated by a TMJ specialist. upper cervical care or Nucca chiro may be a alternative treatment to look into if no luck with tmj specialist.
I have had mri mra and nero and ent and chiro and nothing works they all say nothing is wrong. I only have the numbness when I am dizzy or off or having trouble thinking. In fact I know it will be a bad day when my face starts feeling numb.
