After two years of fighting and three years of knowing something was wrong I finally have a Doctor who listens. His thought was that I have Vestibular Migraines and most likely Menieres as well. I almost cried when he offered me medicine. I have a bottle of Topamax in front of me anything I should know?
awesome! Yes go to mvertigo.org and see if you can find the archive posts about Topamax. Titrate up slowly, lots of side effects but everyone is different, but if you get past the side effects many have gotten get relief from taking it.
I was on Topamax for a while. I did get some tingling in my hands and feet for a while but that was about it for side effects. . It helped some with MAV symptoms but it didnt meet my expectations.
This is my second day on it and I can already walk heel toe again. Everything is sharper in my vision and I walked without my glasses to the laundry room and back without hitting a wall. I feel like its to good to be true so I am waiting for the ball to drop.
