The last two days have been great!! Both days started off so good. No aural fullness, felt energetic all day. Then yesterday I walk into my house at 5 pm and BAM!!! Today was the same kind of day, felt great, no aural fullness. Then at 3:30 when I pulled into the Gym parking lot. As soon as I turned the car off, BAM!!! BAM!!! means-----It's like when you are having a few adult beverages. Someone else is mixing them so you are not sure how much alcohol is going in but they taste great and you're having a fun time. So, you have one more and BAM!!! OOPS!!! One too many. Now you are drunk and stumbling and your head feels REAL BAD. When it hits I have to stop everything. I can't look left or right or walk without looking like a stumbling drunk. Yesterday, when I got home and and got BAMMED I immediately took a valacyclovir and laid down for an hour. I was able to get up and make my wife dinner. I was still drained of energy and only a little wobbly but, I was slowly getting better. I went to band practice. I did not have aural fullness. And as the night progressed I felt better and better. Today, I had a valacyclovir in the car and immediately took it. I leaned my seat back and slept in my car for an hour. I woke up feeling very drained but, I was able to turn my head left and right. I did not go into the Gym. I drove home. Now, I have aural fullness. I feel more worn out then last night. I'm gonna take some Melatonin and go to bed. Good Night. Good Health!!
Bam! Good post Santa I remember those days, because of the laby they are a distant memory and all gone. Hang in there my friend!!! When you wake up and say to yourself enough of this shit, I don't have to live this way, just know it can be fixed.
so many days i start off pretty good and as the day wears on the noise gets louder and louder always feel like i'm on a different "plane" than everybody else i believe stress is my biggest culprit/ by the end of the day i'm fried/
Santa, when I had my month long stretch last April where I had a hard time moving my eyes or head right or left; couldn't walk a straight line to save my life; absolutely couldn't walk in the dark....but yet the room itself was not spinning round and round like a normal attack - I remembered Meclizine. I still had some as it was the first thing my dr told me about with Menieres - but does nothing for me during a full attack. BUT It helped my "dizzy"/drunk feeling significantly and almost immediately. I could tell when it was wearing off as the issues came back but could pop another one. Might be worth a try. :-\ Good luck
Thanks Nic I was singing with a class at a school today when it started to hit me. I still had another 45 minutes to go. But, for some reason it backed off and I started to feel good. I will get some meclizine for next week of work. Can't afford to miss any. I hoping for a great weekend. For all of us.
Good luck Santa. I was surprised when it worked for me in April; I had forgotten I had it...wasn't even sure if I brought it with me when I moved from WA to VA in summer 2013. LOL But I went thru the med basket and voila! Really hope it helps...even a little.
Awesome! Hope it continues to help! FYI...there are stores that have the Meclizine as a store brand (believe i got mine from Safeway?) which was definitely cheaper. Good luck. Today is a good day.
Walmart also sells a generic brand. Very cheap. However; for me there is a drawback taking this. It dries my vocal cords out. I am a singer and my voice was sounding pretty rough. But, at least I could walk, drive and turn my head left and right. No issues today so I didn't have to take any. But, I will keep some handy.
And since you know how it impacts you, the times you have to take one perhaps make sure to drink extra water (even if you don't want it!).
