Redwing, i am from Wisconsin and it has been rough with the weather up here as well, but i think you are right from what i see on the news the northeast up around the New England area has been hit hardest this winter. Stay warm! I have been to New Smyrna Beach and to Destin in Florida and i must say it is absolutely beautiful. I just love those little beach towns where everybody rides their bikes and walks for miles on the beach. Have a great time down there in the Spring, i can only imagine how nice it is down there at the end of March and into April. Trisha
Trisha Watching some Packers games on TV makes me glad I live in Atlanta. You stay warn as well. Down here we have July and August that gets hot but I must admit the other 9-10 months are beautiful, except for the cold spells every so often in winter. I need to go see NSB--- the pictures on the internet look beautiful.
Joe and Trish if you are ever in NSB in April please let me know. I am there until May 9th. Trish I agree. NSB is a great small beach town. A real gem. Joe when you get the chance to visit you will not want to leave. Your boys will love it too. Surf and fish all day long. I have 3 sets of friends who came to visit and ended up buying vacation homes there!!
It's going to be -27 F (-33 C) tomorrow night here due to wind chill factor. Its brutally cold out here today with winds 30-40 mph gusts up to 60
They say we may get a little snow tomorrow. Our first one this year, but most likely a mixture of rain, sleet and freezing rain and possible light snow. Just put some wood in the garage just in case.
BTW my friend called on a fishing trip and said its 70 and sunny in Islamorada, Fl. I called him a bastard!
It's -5 F with the windchill at the moment and I'm under a Winter storm warning until 5:00 Tuesday morning. Hasn't started snowing yet but it's on the way. Meteorologist says we can expect anywhere from 4 to 8 inches of snow but most likely it'll be around 6 inches where I live. Will be staying indoors all snuggled under a blanket today and watching it snow!
On Neptune it rains methane diamonds. Though before you stop & stand to admire the beauty of diamond rain, acknowledge the 2400kph (1500mph) jet streams that would effortlessly rip your body apart like the seeded head of a dandelion in a gentle summer breeze.
I think Atlanta is going to miss it all but watching the Weather Channel it looks like many are taking a beating.
19 degrees with wind chills -30, breaking records here. Come on Spring! It was 51 degrees last year on this day. Brrrrrrr
Cold in Atlanta. I don't like the cold as I get older. I think I would rather live in Florida and if I want to see cold/snow I will take the kids skiing on a vacation.
