Definately NOT! My tattoos mean something to me and most are not visible unless I'm wearing a short skirt or a low cut tee shirt.
It does look weird but cool. 18 months to finish, the longest I've sat is 4-1/2 hours. At first I didn't realize it was a tattoo, it does look 3-dimensional. Very talented artist.
No, I like my body's canvas ink free. It is however an amazing tattoo. I don't think it's ugly at all. I've seen rushed, poorly inked, cheap, trite designs devoid of conviction communicating decisions made on a whim before. This is not one of them. An outstanding & striking tattoo. It would be interesting if the opinions made of the tattoo itself were to change, had it been placed on a better physique, coupled with a skin type complimentary to ink.
For instance, those of you who consider said tattoo as cool but ugly, would you still consider it ugly, or as ugly, if it were on this particular shoulder? .. be honest now.
