Did any one have a dental procedure done prior to the presentation of their ear symptoms? Specifically a procedure that you were put out for and they used a retractor to open your mouth? How about orthodontics and those rubber bands they used to reposition your bite and jaw? For years after my jaw just didn't feel right.
Yes I had a dental implant completions along with An abscessed tooth extracted when I got The lidocaine injection my head went numb a week After all symptoms occurred I keep telling Every doctor this they don't say much of It i guess there is no way of knowing or changing It now
I thought maybe it was the injection prior to a dental filling that was causing my ear symptoms. It appears it was more TMJ Disfunction related and having my mouth open and jaw extended for that period inflamed the ear. Things seem to gradually be getting better with jaw, and neck care.
I had 28 crowns put in over a 3-month period. My first huge attack occurred about 3 weeks after the last crown went in. My wife and I have always thought that it was a good thing, really. I had been having symptoms for some months, was having great trouble focusing at work, did not know why, thought it was depression. It was in fact the slow onset of Menieres. But I would definitely say heavy dental work, or work involving a lot of drilling, could set off an attack.
That's a thought that drilling could cause ear symptoms. You might want to rule out TMJD maybe see a specialist. TMJD doesn't always present with jaw pain, my only symptom was a droopy eye lid, until low tone hearing loss years later. It sounds like your jaw had a lot of strain on it in a short period of time. All the best
