Vicki--Thanks again for all your hard work!! This thread has been the most exciting I've seen in quite some time. I think Monolaurin could really give people some great hope! I just ordered some myself and I'm hoping this will allow me to at least cut down my viral load. I recently had extensive blood work done and found I am acutely positive to many virus's including Epstein Barr from Mono I had almost 30 years ago!! I hope this stuff will be helpful at fighting off these pesky virus's and thanks again for sharing!!
wow glad you found out about those viruses I really hope this helps you a lot! and you are very welcome and good luck and keep us posted!
Got mine today. My daughter came down with a virus about 5 days ago, and is finally getting over it. Naturally I woke up today with stomache pains and in the last 12 hours have thrown up a couple of times, got some fun diaherria, and have had 3 vertigo episodes that last maybe 30 min each. No better time to give the Monolaurin a go I guess! Im trying not to get my hopes up, but id be great if this stuff worked. Good luck to everyone trying it.
aww sorry you and your daughter are ill I hope you both feel better soon and fingers crossed the monolaurin helps you with MM keep us posted please.
Thank you, as always, for sharing this information Vicki. I'm mostly a lurker, but I still wanted to say thanks. Any updates Lulu? I hope your success has continued!
Thank you LuLu, my dear friend, and of course, thank you Vicki! Onward we go! Haven't placed my order just yet. Was wondering what brand/type people recommend? I've read about Monlaurin and Lauricidin (sp?) Is one better than the other? Thanks again friends! XO
Is this helping anyone with their tinnitus or ear pressure? Or to any of the people having success with anti virals, is it helping your tinnitus?
I have been taking monolaurin for one month now. I have been taking one 1,100 mg in morning and night. Today I am bumping it up to three pills per day. I have not noticed any change in tinnitus. The past two weeks I have had a bacterial infection which has produced a lot of mucus in sinuses and possibly up eustachien tube and into middle ear. I have very clear hearing today but, the past two weeks with all this mucus there have been some days when I wasn't very clear and somewhat fullness but, I could still hear. I bought Monolaurin from vitamin shoppe. 11.99 for 90 pills.
I am taking the same as Santa, from the brand Health from the Sun, for nearly a week already, twice in the morning together with my most of my JOH. As 99.8 perc of my symptoms are no longer visible, i am taking this as a maintenance dose to supplement my immune system, so I do not currently see any much changes yet.
As mentioned in my journey thread, no, no more since the past few months except once, in early April.
Vicki thank you so much for your kind condolences regarding the passing of my nephew. That was so very sweet of you. xo And thank for again for another very informative newsletter. I found the paragraph highlighted in blue that explains exactly how monolaurin works of particular interest. It kind of helps to make sense of why I felt so much worse when I first started taking it. You're a gem for sharing all of this information with us and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. :-* It was exactly one month ago today that I had my last vertigo attack. Still doing well and taking my Lauricidin every day. No vertigo and no cold sores to report! My hearing still fluctuates, my balance has improved somewhat but is still not great and I still have tinnitus and a little fullness but having one whole month without vertigo has been such a blessed relief. I suppose only time will tell if I'm destined to remain vertigo-free but for right now I'm just going to enjoy my spin-free days and try not to worry about the what ifs. Skye - after reading all the information that Vicki so kindly posted and doing a little research of my own I decided to try the Lauricidin brand of monolaurin. It got very high marks and good reviews for being one of the purest forms of monolaurin and having the most mgs per dose of the other brands I researched. I so hope this will help you my friend! xo Sending my very best wishes to enjoy, Santa, Pakrat, Qntario, deadeye and anyone else who is giving this a try! Your friend, Lulu ♥
*Edit* That was supposed to be " and thank YOU again for another very informative newsletter" I read what I wrote 3 times before posting it and I still somehow managed to mess it up.
that's awesome Lulu! maybe it works like an av the longer I took it the better I got, fingers crossed!
Day 6 and no vertigo here. Thought today would be the day as I was on very little sleep and had that brain fog feeling for most of the day, but nada. Tinnitus hasnt changed but its never really bothered me much. Before I started on the Monolaurin, the past 2 months Id have a vertigo spell every 2-3 days. They'd usually last only 20 minute tops. Before then it was a vertigo spell once a month, but it would be really bad (3-6 hours). I went to a naturopath and he suggested I stop dairy and eggs. Thats when my symptoms changed and I started having the frequent vertigo attacks. Well after reading that article a page back on foods with Lyseine and Arginine, I realized im taking in a ton of Arginine. I replaced milk and eggs with almond milk, nuts and seeds, oats, tuna, a lot of peanut butter, and switched to a vegan protein powder. So much Arginine! So since starting the Monolaurin 6 days ago, Ive dropped a lot of the stuff from my diet and went back to milk and eggs. Outside of today ive been feeling pretty good. I really dont want to jinx it, I didnt even want to make this post because im sure I'll get sick tomorrow now because of it. Oh! And when they advertise the bottle as 1100mg, I always assume its that much per pill. But no, its per 2 pills! Why not just have 550mg per pill on the side? They fooled me! Im flying through the first bottle and it hasnt even been a week yet! Not a big deal, just something for me to complain about I guess. See ya next week!
wow great update Qntario any day w/o vertigo is a good day! Fingers crossed you continue to feel better and better and that nasty vertigo stays away!
Had a bad spin while at work today. Vertigo lasted maybe a minute, and then was dizzy for the next hour before it passed and I was able to walk around again. This was on day 10. Is it true that anti virals can take some time to work? And now Im taking 2 pills twice a day, think I should increase that? Thanks!
