    Hi folks.

I have just had another hearing and vestibular test (VNG).
Hearing is OK, as it used to be.
But imagine, my right vestibular sense, that was hypotonic in late March, fully recovered.
My neuro-oto seems to be amazed...

I am in my seventh week of antivirals (acyclovir), in accordance with dr. Gacek's paper. Except for some lightheadedness on Day 14 of the treatment (it may have been the moment acyclovir crossed the brain-blood barrier and reached the virus) I had no symptoms. Well... not entirely true as I used to have mild tinnitus all the time.
I am also taking Ginkgo for several weeks now. Also Lemon Bioflavonoids (nature's way brand) for one week or so. Since I lowered acyclovir to 800mg once a day I also take 1000mg of Lysine before going to rest, for a few days now.
I will introduce Vinpocetine next, in a week or two.
Checked my kindeys and liver and they are fine.

Dr. Gacek thinks I have a form of VN, not real MM. I have a MRI of temporal bones scheduled for early July. It will be interesting to see the outcome...

I am taking 2 x 75mg Alventa (Venlafaxine) and 1 x 0.25 mg Xalol (Xanax) in the morning to fight my anxiety too.

I collapsed yesterday, it is true, but not because of the MM. What happened is that the last week I went to preventative urology screening. And it turned out that I have one-side inguinal hernia. Nothing serious, should see another specialist in the future to decide what to do.
But... yesterday morning I realized I had a small bulge down there and I thought the things had got worse and I had to hurry up to doctor. I got into a circle of stress and ended up on my knees minutes later :-( No lapse of reason, just a transient weakness. I was fine straight after it. Interestingly, I could not find the bulge later :) I think it is there again this morning but I am OK with it now. Will see a surgeon in the near future.

I'm following the plan from dr Gacek's paper, that is 800mg aciclovir three times a day for three weeks, then 800ms acyclovir two times a day for three weeks, then 800mg once a day until further notice :)

I am in my eighth or ninth week now, lost count :)

    Srecno!
Good luck, hope you'll be well and get relief with antivirals!
