3 weeks post op VNS. some headaches, lightheadedness when exert myself too much. Doing pretty good with walker. Started parallel bar walking and some short distance walking with physical therapist, holding onto me. Bars doing good. Still in rehab Hospital as I want to get as strong as I can before I go home. Learning to walk again is crazy hard but more I do it the more it will come back to me. but hey No vertigo!!! Doing it all for my family (hubby and baby). Come along way in 3 weeks.

Oh I'm delighted for you Shelly....a life without vertigo is a beautiful thing! I hope each day will bring you more successes with learning to balance and walk again so you'll be that much closer to finally being home with your family again. All my best to you as you begin your wonderful new vertigo-free life!

No vertigo YIPPEE! You got this! I think that is a great decision to stay at rehab as long as possible to get strong before you go home and start being super woman!

Thank you all. I will keep posting updates. I just can't wait to be able to be with my baby girl and hubby again. realistically, my mom will be helping a bit longer but getting there. also, thanks red wing for the quote!!!! I'm writing it down in my journal I started day 1 of rehab. this is soooo hard but am thankful if my progress so far. Rollercoaster of emotions for sure.

Hey all, when were you able to start driving. I'm 8 weeks post op VNS now, doing well except when I get too tired or overdo it I get wobbly. Headaches and son lightheadedness still but not as much. Tried driving around block today and got a bit fuzzy headed now laying down until it passes.
