You mentioned cannibis helping with vertigo attacks... im allergic to cannibis and wondered if you had more magic that might be useful.

I'm also very medication sensitive. I never use pain medication. I will try the Meclizine tonight and hope I wake up better tomorrow. Thanks everyone. And Vicki, did you ever consider a medical career? I get better advise from you then most of my Dr's!

Pitty you are allergic to it. Have you tried more than 1 strain? One of my favorite pages about meniere's and cannabis has the following to say about it.

    Times are from first puff.

    TIME EFFECT

    0:41 Feel initial effect

    01:27 Pressure subsiding and spreading

    02:53 Noticeable pressure relief

    05:30 Feeling better

    06.18 Hungry, nausea subsiding

    06:30 Major vertigo relief, smiling

    07:02 Overall sense of relief

    08.26 Body relaxing

    09:16 Full blown attack averted

12:15 I can function, day is saved

19.50 Best results from any medication I have tried

I don't get vertigo anymore (knock on wood). But when I was still having vertigo, it was the BEST vertigo medication I had tried. Period. And there is some annecdotal evidence on the net of it helping to diminish or stop the attacks all together, probably because it helps on multiple fronts with the dynamics that contribute to our disease, virus, inflammation, anxiety, etc.

thanks Sharon, I wish I was younger I would choose a different major in college than sociology, something in the medical field, but back then I had no idea I was going to have such an interest in it.

When I was dizzy from an ear infection or sinusitis meclizine would help me a lot, but I needed to take it 3 times a day until my infection cleared up. I just wanted you to know you may need to take it tomorrow while awake if you are still dizzy. I hope it helps you, feeling dizzy really sux.

Sharon, I agree with Vicki. When I had that stretch of the dizzy/off balance I had to take the meclizine 3-4 times per day. While it made me a little tired for me it was offset by not struggling to think and walk. :)

It might help to know that if you drive, you won't be as apt to get dizzy. Imo, of course.
