Question here, I am finally reading more of the old posts on here, and I want to clarify something, Vicki you posted to avoid foods higher in arginine than lysine if taking anti virals, I am hoping to start anti viral soon if DR will agree, and my brain fog is still here, cleared up somewhat but not gone, so my question is, is it better to eat foods higher in lysine than arginine while on antiviral, and I am also planning to use Johns regime as soon as the supplements get here, and I am planning to use monolaurin as soon as it gets here. And is it good to eat foods with lysine, sorry that my brain is foggy, (I hope that is all it is) but I want to be sure and I thank you for your time and everyone elses time and Ray for starting this site.
arginine promotes HSV, lysine suppresses it. If you take in more arginine than lysine even being on antivirals it can trigger symptoms. So Just make sure your lysine intake is more than arginine and you should be fine.
because at some point if amount of arginine is over abundant enough it will override the antivirals suppression the virus.
