As most of you know I had a bad case of sinusitis, I finished the antibiotics 4 days ago the next day I put my back out, its still not that good, then yesterday while shopping my eye felt funny I looked in the car's rear view mirror and there was blood. I ran to the urgi care center and Dr said I have an abrasion on my cornea and need to see an ophthalmologist Monday.

One good thing though all through the sinusitis and everything else no dizziness or vertigo but enough is enough. :(

Oh Vicki, you always gave such great advise for everyone on this site and all I can offer you is I'm sorry you're having such a string of bad luck. First your tooth, then your sinus, and now your back and eye.....you're do for a break for sure. But it's so great that you remain vertigo free with all this extra stress.

Thanks so much Sharon, I guess I am feeling sorry for myself, but yes not having dizziness or vertigo is truly a blessing. I would sure like a break though from other stuff.

Corneal abrasions are 'so painful'--and you have 'had your fill' of bad luck these days. Glad the vertigo and etc. are not hitting you right now. Hope your eye heals soon and the pain eases. Take care!

    Damn Vicki!!

I don't even know what to say...you deserve a big old break already.
Remember how nervous you were about the dentist appointment and how you said after you didn't know why? Remember that now.

Go to sleep and when you wake up get to your appointment and make sure you let us know what happened.

What are you doing about your back and how did you hurt it?

    (((( HUGS ))))

Thank you Lisa Bea and Santa. We will be calling the Dr in about an hour. My stomach is in butterflies. The thought of someone doing stuff in my eye is freaking me out.

Bea I put my back put by moving wrong, I have a chronic bad back and one wrong move can put it out. I have been using my tens unit and my back has improved.

Keep us posted. Usually the treatment is pain meds and probably an eye patch for awhile. A good eye doctor will 'make it all better'! :)
    Prayers!

Vicki, I get that alot in my eyes. Dr's have told me that it is usually from coughing too much, rubbing it, etc or something. Mine goes away in a few days. It happens to different eyes as well - so not just one side.

I will agree that it makes the eye feel off. Mine will physically hurt and feel like I have something in it.

Thanks so much Yanksgirl ad nicmger. That's so good to know. Yes it feels like a pebble in my eye. It was all red too but the urgi care Dr gave me antibiotic drops and pain killer drops. I have been putting the antibiotic drops in ever 3 hours and wearing sunglasses even indoors, I feel so over protective of my eyes right now.

We had a hell of a time getting a dr to see me today but got the one I wanted finally and my apt is for 2:30 today. My dad and husband see him so I know he is good. I was so afraid I would have to go to one I didn't know of.
nicmger do you have a bloody look to your eye when it happens? all red?

Im back and survived it :) The Dr was wonderful and checked both of my eyes thoroughly under all my lids too because they are still swollen.
Great news NO ABRASION now it either healed or what the urgi care Dr saw was a cyst that is what the ophthalmologist saw was a cyst and he feels the red was from irritation or I might have had something in my eye but it is not there now just the cyst.

He said it will come and go and no need to remove it at this point. He said no more need for the antibiotic drops he did give me steroid drops for the redness and he feels my eyes are swollen from allergies.

My whole body was trembling while he was examining me and he felt me trembling but I could not help it I was so frightened.

But thank goodness it all went well!

I hope I get a break now and have no more issues crop up in the near future.. 4 in a row is hopefully my limit
PS its brutal out there 104 I'm hot sweaty and tired but HAPPY!

Thank you all for your support I really appreciate it.

I knew you'd 'get thru it'! If you can deal with MM and MAV--you can handle anything! Take care and get some rest:)

Yes i will have a section, typically the outside section of my eye that will be totally red. Sometimes it is the inside piece. The ache and the constant irratation is the worst! Not to mention that it is not the most "attractive" look to show the world. LOL

Yeah for you! When that happens to me mine usually lasts for a week or so. Funny I was looking thru pics from a couple of years ago and one you can see the bright red burst in the eye. LOL

aww LOL well this was all new to me and scared the crap out of me but I am health phobic :( You would think living with MM and MAV for 50 years would make me tough, but I think it did just the opposite, made me very sensitive about my health.
