This may be sort of gross, but when you get dizzy or lightheaded do you have to Along with nausea. , Have to go to the bathroom. Both ways? I really hate that. What if it happened when I was not home!!!!
Yes, butt on the pot and face in the bucket. So far, that has never happened away from home, and I'm going on 18 years with this disease. Thank goodness!! Margie
It affects many people this way. I've only had the one thing at a time. Throwing up---but other times when I have been nauseated all day and don't throw up--it's 'going to the bathroom' 'alot'! Some people it hits both ways during a vertigo attack. That has to be just awful! I feel for you if this does happen. Just be prepared and have Zofran( for nausea) or Meclizine--that helps too. And a chewable anti-diarhhea pill to chew up. Obviously you can't drink water if you're throwing up. And be sure you can take any or all of these before doing so. I've tried them all with varying degrees of success. Lately, with the nausea having been so bad--it has happened that I'm like buglady, holding a bucket while also using the bathroom! Sometimes I just 'feel like I'm going to throw up' but don't. Other times, like last night--it was 'both'! No fun!
Yup- happens to me every time I have a vertigo attack - have to bring the bucket into the bathroom with me -- Boy is THAT a bunch of fun huh??
It happened to me plenty of times at home but never away from home. Vomiting in public was the worst for me, people obviously thinking I was an alcoholic. We must have an in built alarm system that stops us from venturing outside when it could happen. The only good thing if it did happen is that you would be assured a seat on the bus or train.
Same here, Jade70, before the perfusion with gentamycin in my affected ear. Since then no vertigo or vomiting, but I still do have the other symptoms that come with MM.
I usually get diarrhea latter in the attack after the vomiting. There was only once were I had to do both at same time.
Yes, on the pot, bowl on lap, too dizzy to move even after I was completely empty. Thank God those days are over. It was explained to me that the conflicting info being sent from the ears to the brain makes the brain think you must have been poisoned so it removes everything it can.
