Rise and shine my beauties! Greet the day positively and leave all of yesterday's crap (if you had any) where it belongs.....yesterday! Woke up early for a 2.5 mile run. Then ran up and down some flights of stairs 10 times. 30 push-ups and 100 bicycle crunches. Quick and easy workout now off to shower and work. I have to wake the boys up first. Do something nice for yourself today that is health and fitness related. Eat one extra serving of vegetables
The sun is out today and it is already approaching 60 degrees. Life is looking good! Went to the gym for an hour spin class this morning. Off to see a dear friend who was diagnosed with multiple myleoma (cancer of the blood) in March. She is a wonderful person who will put a smile on my face for sure. I hope I can put a smile on her face too. Feeling blessed.
I hope your visit goes well. Inspire and be inspired today. Yes some of us are so lucky to "only" have what we have.
My time with my friend was inspiring. She is so strong and so willing to share her deepest feelings. We had some great laughs together. She refuses to worry about things she can not control. She works on the positive. She is my hero.
P.S. We went to lunch and I had a veggie wrap.....it was bib lettuce leaves with grilled cauliflower, portabella mushrooms, and red peppers. I have to say I chose this because of you, your statement about eating an extra vegetable....DID IT!! And had wheat berry salad on the side. I love it when I eat healthy, thanks for inspiring me :-*

Dear Intrepid I walked to the car and from the parking lot to the ER and back again. I parked and walked into the pharmacy and bought yogurt and grapes and walked back to the car. I parked and walked into the house. Does that constitute walking for today? : )
If it is more than you have done in the past week then yes. Your body appreciates any movement you allow it to have. In time, when you increase your miles, your health and spirit will thank you too. I love grapes. In the summer, I freeze the red seedless ones and they become a sweet and nutritious treat on those hot days.
Buongiorno! Today is rest day for me. But, rest doesn't mean inactivity. Stay active. Challenge your thinking. Give yourself a mental workout with a crossword puzzle or a new perspective. We grow old when we refuse to evolve. Find one way to be different today, to be stronger and better. Maybe take a long walk (I know I will this evening). Be mindful of what you eat, savor that extra piece of fruit and fill half your plate with vegetables. If you are sedentary for an extended period of time, remember to s-t-r-e-t-c-h those muscles and take deep breaths to clear your mind. Enjoy your day and be kind to yourself.
Yesterday I did an hour of yoga and a four mile walk. Today if the weather cooperates I would like to get on my bike. Time will tell. Enjoy a healthy, happy weekend everyone.
