2 hard boiled eggs and a tomato. I didn't have time to pack a decent lunch. I think I have a protein bar in my bag as well.

Ouzo, can you cook after drinking that?

    Have you ever drank Grappa?

  7. "Well, it is something more native to the Mediterranean and east asian diets...."

I just don't think that I could bring myself to eat it. Even try it!

  8. Oh yeah, I've tried that. :) No way!

Octopus with garlic, parsley and some lemon juice is delish. Throw in some friend calamari and a beach and I'm in.

Went to a place in Napa Valley once that made the most amazing wood-fire oven roasted octopus. Makes me want to go back there just thinking about it.

Sure was. The place is Bottega. Here's the menu description:

Wood Grilled Octopus: Olive oil braised Ruby Crescent potatoes, pickled red onion, salsa verde and sauce tonnato

If I bake a mouse a cake weighing in at a gram, with a 1:1:1:1 ratio of flour, butter, eggs, & sugar, is it still considered a pound cake?

    Aspiration.

Ha. The last thing I would imagine you eating is pound cake. The idea that pound cake is generally 1/4 sugar is frightening
