I am now trying AVs again 3rd day (Northstar this time thanks to Gardengal) and not doing bad so far like last time. I am however also using 1/2 HCTZ triamterene 75/50 and so I am skinny as heck but feeling ok so far. Has anyone's doctor recommended when to have additional Liver/kidney testing??? I just had that test a month ago before trying the acyclovir and was wondering at what point in these high dosages you folks have had function testing. Thanks for replies.
I take 1200 mg Acyclovir daily and get my kidneys and liver Bllod work every 3 months. Dr Gacek recommended 3 to 6 months testing. I've been on it since July 2014.
