In my state there are only ten illnesses that MJ can be prescribed for and MENIERES isn't on that list.

    BD, you done woody?

The only way you can get it here other than that is to go to a street dealer unless you know somebody with, "contacts."

Depends on the state. Some states, there are only a few medical conditions you are "allowed" to have medical cannabis for. You would most likely visit a doctor who deals only in prescribing medical cannabis, at least, that's how I do it here. If you have a qualifying condition, you can get a script. Some states have registration programs associated with being a medical cannabis user and you have to jump through those hoops, if you want to keep it above boards. Other states, the doctors have a lot more leeway in prescribing. All you need is a qualifying symptom. Nausea, for example. Subsequent perhaps to... balance issues related to blah blah blah. You get the point. Colorado is like that. It's not hard to get a prescription here, for obvious reasons.

Yeah...I caught that within a few seconds of hitting "Post Message".
    Hate it when that happens..[IMG]

Still getting used to not having an "Edit" feature, but unfortunately I'm one of those
"post posting" editors...post it up and then go fix the mistakes.

Well, that all depends on how you approach things.

Having a drink does not mean you'll be drunk, and the same goes for MJ.
In all honestly, I hate feeling stoned, and I've never found a reason
to smoke/vape to that extent. Take a puff, then put it down for awhile.

BTW, at one time I was married to a Georgia girl...leaving the state won't
    help you one bit! :D

Best approach is to become familiar with the laws in Georgia regarding
possession and use of MMJ. From what I saw at the site below, only
oil is legal at this point (which makes no sense at all).

    http://www.georgiacannabis.org/obtain-medical-marijuana/

Also, every other state has exceptions for those with conditions that cause
severe nausea and vomiting, and MM patient sure as hell qualify under that
    clause.

Because of it's legal status here in WA, I don't even get an Authorization
any more. There's no need, not to mention that the Sheriff's deputies in
my area could care less about MJ; their focus is on Meth and Heroin (as
    it should be).

Oh the benefits of living in Colorado and Washington State---- beautiful area that WA. is. I love Seattle!!!

I am getting ready to drive up to lake with mommy, mom and the kids for a weekend of wakeboarding and skiing and let me tell you.

I WISH I HAD A BIG FATTY for the ride up because I know the kids will be loud, wife and mom will be talking some bullshit and I will saying to myself "you gotta be f*^%ing kidding me.

What I would do to be stoned for the next 2 1/2 hours.

What do you recommend for a low level Tinnitus weed wise?

Let's hope the latter is not the case as I will be at a bar-b-que with family, lol.

Most nights I say where is BD anyway, LOL.

A vaporizer since most posting here say that's best. Wish me luck!

Bea...take it slow. Seriously, as I'm hoping you'll get some
    benefit from it.

Start off with just one puff of the vape, then wait at least
10 minutes before having another one, providing you feel
    you need it.

If you have fullness, you should begin to feel the benefit
within 5 min. If it's helping, you'll suddenly realize that the
fullness is no longer bothering you.

I don't give a damn about what someone else may tell you,
    take it slow.

Bet me fingers crossed for ya's!

    Chickened out guys.

There was too much family around to take a chance of a bad reaction.
Some of the warnings had me Leary to begin with.

I've decided it's not worth bringing on a attack.

    Thanks.

After rereading and rereading this thread, I would not recommend anyone who has not built up a tolerance for marijuana to experiment unless you're not afraid of being immediately sent into a spiral.

Taking a second look over is never a bad idea, I do that all the time sitting on the beach!!

Always recommended to discuss things with a Doctor. I'm sure reefer works for some and has its purpose in a comprehensive treatment plan but it is still a toxic substance , the only thing toxic about bikinis on the beach is it can be hazardous to a marriage not your health.

Don't feel bad Bea, as long as you are comfortable with your decision.

    A) Cannabis is not toxic...lol

    B) Tell your wife that just because you're chained to the fence doesn't mean
you still can't bark at the cars!

Bea: The "unknown" is always fearful, which is why I suggested going
about it very slowly. If you take one puff off that vape, and wait 10 minutes
before taking any more, you can absolutely manage it. If you feel better, then
that's enough...no need to take any more. Slow and easy wins the race!

I also absolutely respect personal choice, but don't let your fear control
    you.

What is important is to know what *strain* you are using, and I hope to write
more about that issue later today.

I did go out and buy a bottle of 100 proof vodka, because the local grocery didn't have 151. And I didn't let my tincture brew long enough, nor did I bother to decarb. I used a high CBD strain.

I've used the tincture now for a week and a half. During that time I came down with strep throat and had a fever of 101.8 for two days. I've used just under 2 ounces of tincture in that time, and it's kept me nausea free the entire time.

I decided to get some Everclear and set up a few more mason jars with different strains in them. I think I'll be using this medicine pretty much forever. It's AMAZING.

Sharing this for anyone who lives in the US, but doesn't live in a state where medical cannabis is legal.

Congress quietly ends federal government's ban on medical marijuana
