LOL! It's back to bed for me. I'm soooo fortunate to be able to take down time whenever I need to and lead a normal, happy, for filling life. Some days I think, "no ones got it better than I do."

I read an article today about helicopter parents. I guess it is hard to let children grow up and be self sufficient. Wonder why some parents can't see that doing everything for them is not a kindness.
In Scandinavia & Northern Europe, overprotective parents are referred to as "curling parents", which is a) an expression of greater accuracy & b) hilarious.
That is hilarious! I don't get the reference but I used to curl pre MM! Maybe that's why I don't get it.
Expending inordinate amounts of energy focusing on, & overprotecting the stone by sweeping away even the slightest perceived obstacle or debris - subsequently denying the stone (representing the son or daughter/children) the experiences required to learn how to overcome friction, or to circumnavigate obstacles itself.
