Where do I start!!! My wife and I keep everything separate such as money, retirement accounts, bills ect...... it works for us because it eliminates any and all stress about money and finances/spending!!! But but but We do have willsand with us raising our 2 kids along with our nephew we came up with a plan. I will leave all my money/assets evenly divided between the 2 boys and my nephew and she will leave hers evenly divided between the two boys our nephew and her sister. I told my SiL that we have to go down and meet with the attorney and CPA (certified Public accountant). Well, she just told my wife and I just before we sat down for dinner she wants or wanted to be a CPA but chose art instead. I told her she was a CPA already and there was no reason to go back to school. After she gave me a lecture that she was an artist and not a CPA, I sincerely told her from the bottom of my heart she is indeed a great CPA. Just after sitting down she asked me if I knew what a CPA meant trying to attack my intellect. I said CPA? Doesn't that mean CONSTANT PAIN in the ASS! Not a good thing to day to your wife's sister at dinner table. LooKS like i'll be eating alone at Chili's unless somebody wants to meet me. My Treat.
