I understand that water can be a cure for MD, can someone tell me how much water intake is necessary for a patient who is 65 Kg?
I found in google search for "meniere's disease water intake" many results, this attracted me... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16885753
I followed the link you posted, it says this: "Eighteen patients with MD in group 1 drank 35 mL/kg per day of water for 2 years" So, at 65 kg you would need to drink (35 x 65) or 2,275 mL per day to match the study group. That's roughly 77 ounces per the Google conversion thing... ? say 9 1/2 8oz. glasses of water daily, rounded up. I drink at least that much water on a normal day - hasn't made a bit of difference in 6+ years. I do notice that my symptoms will get dramatically WORSE when I do not stay properly hydrated though...
but... I am almost 100 kg, so I would need to drink 3.5 liters/day to match - I am sure I'm not drinking that much...!!
the study was done in 2006, I would think if it really had an impact on relieving MM symptoms we would have heard more about it, don't ya think? But I wish it to be true, that would sure be an easy fix.
I found another good useful reading on this subject here http://www.menieres.ksimurdak.com/water-and-menieres.html
