What have you learned today?

Not necessarily today but I've known for a long time that my daughter is a much better driver than I am.Her reflexes are quicker than mine.I feel so much more comfortable when she does the driving.

 

Some people work extra slow just to get paid more.

 

They say bed rest but I'm always needed for the stupidest shit. Hitting my sanctuary early tonight.

A hot water bottle can be your best friend.

 

Drs are more concerned with their schedule than with a patients suffering.
Colonoscopy not until Nov. 2, first day they can do it.

In the hospital, "because he doesn't know what he'll find."
That's so not reassuring.

 

I learned that bed rest does NOT mean resuming everyday activities.

 

I learned that the family dynamics have shifted.
No longer will everyone have to drive 300 miles for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We are hosting!!!

It's as it should be. Our generation now has adult children with children. Time for each family to host their own family's events.
The ones with no family are welcome. Friends are welcome. DIL's family is welcome. I'm looking forward to it so much though I may have some foods catered this time and everyone wants to know what to bring.

Christmas tree will go up for the first time in years.
I'm really into it this year.

i already knew this, but i learned as i get older i hate the cold weather. Atlanta the last 2 days has been cold, wet and rainy and i wish i could be a snowbird and head to the Keys for the summer.
