I'm laying down and I can't sleep.

 

Thinking of going into the attic and grow through years of Christmas boxes to see what's up there. I know there's a box full of the kids handmade ornaments from elementary school and the ones they bought at The Santa sale fundraiser at school.
I'm going to be up there awhile, can't wait.

 

Found a big box of photos in the attic starting with our wedding.
Each stage of our kids lives, family we've lost.

It's going to be a wonderful experiencing watching our children look through them and fighting over which ones they each want, lol

Lots of memories...and hair style changes! LOL

 

have you come out of the attic yet. it's been 3 days and still no sign of the Bumblebea

 

Oh, right now i am taking a little break from work and making myself a hard boiled egg sandwhich on toasted rye

 

delicious, did you make enough for 2 because i am starving and just minutes away.

 

LOL!

I found boxes and boxes of Christmas ornaments. I decided to leave all the glass ones up there as some are sentimental and from the early years of our married life and children. I even found the old tree skirt that I used one day when we came home from picking up the kids from and I had rearranged all of the furniture, put up the free and said that Santa and his elves must have done it. Then I said the tree skirt was special because the Elves made it and Santa gave it to us. I also found the wreath I had put on the front door with the same explanation later but when we parked I said where did that come from?
LOL, best times ever.
I still came out with 2 boxes of plastic ornaments, a Huge Turkey soup tureen that I made back in the early days with my MIL.

Also all of the ornaments the kids made and gave us as gifts at their Santa Sale at elementary school.

Memories making me smile, me,oriels making me sad because that's all behind me.

Enjoy these early days with your children.
Find ways to make memories that last a lifetime.
It really does go fast.

Then I found the albums. All of them from the beginning of our marriage, the parties we threw and all of the relatives now past.
Emotional discovery

Of course there were my pics and I have to say I underwent many trendy hairstyles! LOL
I also thing I was so much prettier when I was young. When you go through the years and see how you were and the changes its kind of depressing.

All in all it was an emotional few days.
The tree goes up the weekend before my daughters bday as hers is Nov. 27. It always did.
Thanksgiving is a double celebration every year.

One thing that has remained constant is that we threw the best party celebrations then and we still do.
Thanksgiving is the Quarters game. The grandchildren have been practicing. Everyone brings 2 rolls of quarters. And of course you can get some by buying them with dollar bills from the one with the most.
It's so much fun and competitive, ( which we are," and it gets crazier as the drinking starts and all kind of things happen that make me laugh so hard.

Like I said, memories.
