I have been managing my illness through a combination of a low sodium diet and taking betahistine and a diuretic. I haven't been feeling well lately and I want to explore the possibility of adding an anti-viral med with my ENT. Can someone give me some advice as to what anti-viral meds they have found to be effective so that I can discuss them with my doctor? I know nothing about anti-viral meds and would be grateful for anything you can tell me. Thanks
bring this publication to your Dr and on page 104 is the correct dosage and names of the antivirals most of us use. http://www.mm3admin.co.za/documents/docmanager/6e64f7e1-715e-4fd6-8315-424683839664/00056616.pdf Valcyclovir is now the preferred for MM but I don't react well to it so I have been on acyclovir for almost 3 years and have been symptom free for almost 3 years.
You asked--------------------- and a lot of Nice folks are sending you info we believe will help you. I don't have any idea what will help you. But, I do know what has helped me. If you search " beginning of the end" ( in that search box- up there to the right ) you will see what I call my success story. I still do the OPC, ( i don't know how much the OPC had to do with my break through. It might have been coincidental) The OPC is incredible for circulation. I am 62 years old and I have been on blood thinners for 15 years, so blood pools in my lower legs and caused discoloration of my and most people's legs who are on blood thinners. However; taking the OPC makes my legs look almost normal. The discoloration goes away. It probably helps in many ways. I still give 90% of my being able to control symptoms such as Vertigo, dizzies. aural fullness to Valacyclovir.
